i use cheap ass grandcell rechargeable's got 6 so a spare set is always ready, you can charge when half flat and take out before fully charged if you want too ,so if planning a big wii day i recharge the night before even if they aren't flat

btw i think i paid $20 bucks for the charger and 2 batteries.

I use normal Duracell or Energizer batteries. The last me ages and I worked out for the price I pay for them it would take 3 years or something for the cost of a battery pack to justify itself.

I use Varta rechargeable batteries. I got the really cheap ones so it takes 14 hours to charge but they last me about 2 weeks with moderate use of the wiimote.

docking stations are a waste of money. they only 'seem' to last long because you continuously recharge AAA batteries, which in itself, AAA batteries supply energy for a shorter time; plus you waste electricity by charging something you've used for just an hour.
use rechargables.
