Wii Hardware \ Help need for computer dummie LOL - Locked

I have been trying to back up some wii Original games.

when i put them in my DVD-RW drive they dont show up as DVD they show up as CD Drive. Does anyone know what could be the problem ? I am using DVD+R disc are these the right disc or do i use DVD-RW or what kind should i use ??
