Virtual Console & WiiWare \ An Error has occurred?

This has been happening to me quite a bit lately and frankly, is getting on my nerves. When attempting to go shopping in VC I get this message over and over, I make it as far as the link to the shopping guide and then the message of death "An Error has occurred, please try again later".

I'm wondering if this is a problem on nintendo's side, which it appears to be as I can always get a connection to the channel.

I had the same error when I tried to connect last nite.

It connected fine on the second attempt.

I've had similar problems with my wii. I changed channel that my wireless router operates on to 1 and the problem has gone away. Might be worth a shot?

I think the site is just too busy. Alot of people are downloading Opera, plus new Wii's fetching updated firmwares, weather channel, etc. First thing in the morning seems to be a good time to me. I had some problems at night, then gave up. Next morning it worked flawlessly.
