Social \ World of Warcraft - Question

Have not played my WoW account for over 8 months, I re-installed WoW and the expansion, updated everything. Now this is a top notch computer, good cable speed connection, and always played WoW without fail.

Whenever I load any character, even on my mates account, just sits there, nothing loads, says 0ms, tried deleting WTF and CBD or whatever folders, twice, rebooted my comp, still just sits there idle, nothing happens, then disconnects me.

Any ideas? Lame...

I go to my Windows Firewall, only one I am using, yes WoW wasn't in the exception list, so I add the WoW.exe and Launcher.exe, go into the game.

Same thing, 0ms, all files look like "?", lags out, "Disconnected from server"

Started a new toon on a low realm, doesn't allow me to walk up or down, the latency is 0ms...logs me out disconnected from server.

No Addons / Mods

Fully updated

Changed WoW folder to a different drive, due to drive speeds.

Deleted WTF / CBD or whatever almost on 4 occasions.

Re-booted twice

WoW / Launcher aloud in Windows Firewall, and even disabled the firewall.

Windows XP

Good good comp...ran this before at 60fps, full spec / res.

Alright. I'm guessing you're trying to connect to an Australian realm, yes? Try connecting to a US one as from what ive seen, there seems to be multiple realms on a single server, so if the Australian server's acting up, all the local realms'll be affected. Other then that, i'm pretty much stumped on this one. It really sounds like a connection problem on WoW's end and not something wroung with your settings.

One guy appears to have fixed the problem by updating his network card drivers but apart from that there seems to be a massive amount of people reporting the problem to no avail. The best way to fix problems is always to Google it. You will pretty much never be the only one and chances are someones been through and fixed it so you just have to find the right thing to type into Google

Or you could save yourself some money and play Guild Wars instead ;D

3000 hours?! JESUS! That's 125 days! Goddamn!

Personally I'm not into any of the MMO's greatly but I've played WoW a little bit and didn't particularly like it...

A few things to try.

1: Are you running a wireless router? If so make sure that the fire wall on that is not blocking it.

2: There a a few ports you can open to make wow run better (you'll have to look it up on the wow website) also open the ports on your com and router if running one.
