yes! I was saying the same thing to my mates the other day. It has a lot of potential but when was the last time someone made a decent cricket game.
I beleive it was Cricket '96 on the P.C.
I still have faith, and plz get the whole commentary team ESPECIALLY Richie. If not, Billy Birmingham will do fine.

I havent played cricket video game since...god knows...That really wicked one on NES. that was great. Im not a big cricket fan but that was an awesome game, actually the menu screen in that game where you place your fielders reminds me of the Mii screen (you pick the fielders up with your hand and their arms and legs wave)

I remember reading something about a new Wii (remote) development kit just being released to developers that allows for 1:1 motion recognition or something?

Just tape your WiiMote to a cricket bat.

The WiiMote can recognise twisting momvements so you would be able to do spin bowling really well I think once the potential is realised.

Maybe even have a Wii Sports 2 come out with new games for like a $50.00 price range.

You could have basket ball where when you shoot you have to hold the Wii above your head and make a shotting icon.

Then a fishing game where you use your Mii's to catch fish similar to Zelda's fishing with the reel.

A cricket game would be the baseball version of Wii Sports 2 as you can both bat and bowl.

Maybe a fencing game to show off the Wii's ability to properly show sword fights.

And another could be Squash which is just like tennis besides your hitting it against a wall and would be fast paced fun as it is in real life.

Just some ideas.

You're not thinking of AiLive are you? That's dev. software that only picks up gesture based movements I believe. Gesture based games - Boooooooo. 1:1 based games - Yeaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!
