Ok, So, I've had my Wii, as well as the Wiimote, for nearly a month. Anyway, there's some scratches on the underside of the Wiimote. There are several along the ridge of the B button, as well as a couple on the battery case, a few up near the top of the Wiimote, as well as a few on the side. I'm a bit of a neat freak with my video game systems, and these scratches annoy me alot. I have no idea how they got there, or how to get rid of them. Any ideas?

Welcome to the world of useage. hehe. It just depends on where you are storing your Wiimotes. It could be a combination of where you are storing them or how you are using them. Get yourself some silicon covers, that should help. The actual B button can't be really helped. Just take care of the wiimote when you are using it.

bin it and buy a new one .
but treat the new one better because we all know scratches dont appear by themselves.

if you dont know how they got there ask whoever else use's it.

They aren't major scratches or anything. They're really tiny, each less than a millimeter long. I don't want to bin it, because the scratches are only noticeable under close examination or bright light. Also, I don't plan on getting Wiimote covers... I prefer the white, and I hate the jackets they come with. Also, the only reason I care about the scratches is because they're brown, not white.

use a old tooth bush with the tiniest amount of water on it to clean the dirt out of the scratch

i dont like the way the side grooves on the wiimote get dirty after a while so thats what i do

I think scrubbing lightly with a soapy toothbrush will get rid of the brown colour.

Edit: Oh snap! Great minds.

Bit of metho should clean them up. Just don't spill any in your vodka.

I've already tried cleaning it with just a toothbrush. I'll try the soapy water, and if that doesn't work, the metho. Thanks for the tips.

Mine too, but some of that is because my little darling child doesn't bother to wash her hands after eating things like twisties or like any food then puts her filthy hands all over the remotes.

The silicon covers we bought to protect them help, but the buttons are stained, and the plastic is more porous than the case plastic.

Yeah they are nifty, I usually get home from work and empty my pockets and find panadol, alcohol wipes and gloves plus all my usual crap I carry around the ward. So glad they got huge pockets in those tunics
