Wii Hardware \ Is mah Wii broken?

I have had my Wii for about 6 months and only in the last 2 weeks I have noticed that there are some small scratchy black lines turning up on the screen during game play, they aren't too bad but they can be a distraction. I was wondering if anybody else has seen this, Does this mean my Wii is breaking? I have been through Nintendo's troubleshooting, and I have been searching online for info on this issue and can't find anything.I

mah Wii and I don't want it to break.

yeah i tried it on 2 tvs and it always happens even on the menus, i haven't got it hooked to wii connect. lucky i haven't modded it as yet i just place an order for a chip earlier this week and now i am glad i checked up about it. it sucks that nintendo don't have anything like this problem listed in their FAQ. thanks for your prompt responses guys i will give nintendo a call tomorrow.gold star effort

I've read about this problem on maxconsole.

I'm not even gonna pretend to talk like i know what it is but i do know that teh big N will take it if you contact the customer services. the big N do have excellent customer service. Best talk to them about it or search www.maxconsole.com it'll be in the wii hack &customization forum.

Its some sort of ghosting. I'll have a trawl just now for you.

Not the best advice but its true. Send it in or go for a long drive south to scoresby and they'll fix it or replace it.

I got my Wii back on Tuesday. I got it replaced at no charge. I noticed the new Wii has larger feet for when it is on it side. Also Nintendo was nice enough to back up my saves on the new console and all my Miis are there. YAY NINTENDO, my only complaint is that they didn't tell me I had to press the red button on the console to resync my Wiimote [thought they sent me another broken one]. I should have known but I am a stoner after all.
