A ps3 is not moddable at this point in time. I think theres some sorta firmware replacement for the 360, not sure if it's easier than installing a Wiikey though.

But yea, if you do sell it, make sure you let us know!

so are you saying your decision to buy the Wii in the first place is because you wanted to modchip it and not because of the games? it seems that your main complaint about the Wii is the "issues" regarding mod chips. modding ANY console comes with a risk.

the Wii is worth owning, chipped or not. the real trick is to know what to expect.

the real mistake is that you bought a Wii without really considering what you wanted in a games console, and what sort of games you wanted to play.

You have an equal chance of bricking a 360 or PS3. Probably MORE of a chance since those consoles focus a lot on internet activity and can easily download updates that can brick the console from modchips.

IMO this would be the worst time to sell your wii, because essentially the wii is at is peak (at least compared to the rest of the year). So keep it now for smg (that is if you like it), and after that decide whether to keep it for ssbb, mario kart, wii fit, etc.
If you don't like those games then sell it after smg, and get a 360/ps3.

Wii are the easiest to chip, as El said the others are harder because like with the xbox it can bar your console from live permanently and you can't undo that.

No chips for the PS3 and I wouldn't put one in anyway, too easy for them to stop it like the 360.

I sold mine and got a 360 and PS3, never regretted it.
My PS3 is stable as hell and so is my 360 cause I bought the holiday pack with a new 65nm chip.
Personally my mates have more fun vs'n me at Forza or Virtua Tennis, Virtua Fighter and so on then they ever did with Wii Sports or Warioware.

lol I was thinking that you beat me too it.

Yeah Gti4dr mate not everyone hates and will have a go at you for using backups, in fact there are a few excellent members that always help.

However use a backup disc and complain that something is wrong or it doesn't work (as most of those threads tend to rant about) and people will most likely wail on you.

God you dribble some crap. Galaxy is not going to be the best game on the system, SSBB is. In fact, it's widely known that SSBB will be the best selling game this generation. Lame casual 3rd party games will continue obviously but there are tons of quality titles coming out too:

Nights 2
Geometry Wars: Galaxies
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Medal of Honor Heroes 2
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
No More Heroes
Mario Kart Wii
Final Fantasy CC: The Crystal Bearers
Tales of Symphonia 2
Battalion Wars 2
Naruto: Clash of a Ninja Revolution

Plus many many more, these are just the games worth buying within 6 months of now. All machines have thier good games. Besides, the games you list are average anyway. COD4 is much better on PC than the suxbox, RE5 is going to be amazing, and GTA was always lame, i'll be surprised if HD graphics can change it (well, it wouldnt surprise me since i loved Saints Row). Ideally, Wii60 is the way to go.

As you can see from my above post, plenty of decent games on the near horizon, nevermind in the future. The 360 is a far better option than a Ps3. It has the same graphical prowess for a lower price with a better online service and more games. Keep the Wii for the better-than-last-gen graphics and the better-than-dual-analog controls (Prime 3 controls are far better than dual-analog, and MOH: Heroes 2 will be even better) and then, in the future when the price comes down just a little and you have some more money, get a 360 for traditional controls, great online service and HD graphics. By then the amount of games on the machine will be phenominal. Selling the Wii to get a 360 is a step backwards. Graphics don't make good games, which is why i am having just as much fun playing SMB3 on VC as i am with Metroid Prime 3 and COD4 on PC (good pc!). Good games will always be good games, no matter how they look. I also own 9 Wii games and 12 GC games, all of them A+ titles (well, Mortal Kombat Wii is B-).

I have them all saved in a Txt document in My Documents LOL. It's easier to have all the good games coming out within 6 months in one place for posts like this. I've used it like 10 times on various sites lol.
