I think the title is wrong in a way. Memorable, or the best? The best I think really is Galaxy but I have no idea if that's just because I have played it recently.

I still remember putting the dollar bill into the machine to get 4 x quarters, so that is obviously quite memorable. I was still playing Commodore 64 and Amiga back then.

I've never seen a Mario Arcade machine game here.

It's just the original Mario from what I remember. Maybe it was made a little different for the arcade, I'm not sure. That was 18 years ago. Still remember the sounds!

Phats pic just reminded me of something..... Even though it's the Bee costume - I got the spring last night on SMG, I hate it! lol. You got that yet Phat?

The one that stands out for me is Super Mario 3
At the time it was released it blew all other Nes titles apart and was well ahead of its time!
I remember back in the day at Myer in the City Nintendo had about 15 TV's setup with different Nes games but the line to try SM3 was massive!

While you play that I will play Galaxy and Mario/Sonic Olympics - I don't really recommend Mario/Sonic Olympics btw, kinda sucks. Not what I was expecting anyway.

Im 22. Loved mario in 2d, but when it went into 3d i thought it lost most of its charm. In my opinion the pacing of the game felt a lot slower and the controls were clunky and it just wasnt as fun. It was definately an impressive pioneer for 3d games, but snes/nes mario games were heaps better i reckon.

Fair enough. I expected you to be older than I in that way, I was 15 (Sorry I forgot, I wasn't 17 then, so 12 years ago) and couldn't wait to get home to SM64. I liked SNES Mario Kart better that both N64 and GC versions because at the time my friends and I were having comps and drinking passion pop on Saturdays afternoons.
