im going out of my brain one minute it works then nothing when it does work im not doing any thing different from when it doesnt,so the nintendo wifi setup says its completed then does the test and says error code 52140 ive tryed restarting pc reseting wii help please

that happened to me all of last week. one minute on, next off! one channel connects, another doesn't! once set up is complete you're connected. but i don't inderstand the randomness you're experiencing which i also did last week! it's frustrating as hell! i loged onto pc reconnected wii channels then placed pc into switch user screen while wii was still connected. now i'm back on 24/7. still have no idea why it happened? give it a go. mind you it took me several days for it to kick back on perminantly. as a back up i ordered the nintendo lan adapter from nintendo on friday. then it'll be hard wired....

you & your friends MUST have travel settings switched "on" on the parade screen. the more friends in your address book & the more mii's everyone in your address book has the more travel to you. i average 100 per week. check out my "how many mii's in your parade?" thread under "wii hardware".....

router is used for wireless internet, the wii can pick up a wirless router the same way it can a nintendo usb wi-fi connector. To give it to u plain and simple, a router is the same a nintendo usb wi-fi connector but instead of plugging it to the computer you plug the LAN straight in.

I have a apple Base station (a wireless router) and never had any problems

That's correct, a wireless router is better because you can use it for most other WiFi compatible systems, like DS, PSP or a laptop and so on.

I use Belkin and it works for all my Nintendo's.

i've got 2 ports left in my router. all hard wired so no drop outs again.....

modem is plugged into router
main pc is plugged into router
optional devices can be plugged into the router, or if they have wifi compatibility (wii in your case), it can be wirelessly connected
