I don't think driving half-asleep for half an hour to get to work, working ten or more hours straight, and then driving back even sleepier for an hour is worth $8 an hour.

But the shopping centre? That's not good enough.

bulls*** i've done work experience and 2 paid jobs now and both were 10x better then school. i use'to work at myer and the hard ist work was conviceing people lcd was better then crt by the way i had to quit because i was moving

As for school , my best friend & I used to skip whole days or half days at least once a week in Year 10 & 11. Hitchhike back to my mates place (school was 30 min bus trip) then play pool for rest of the day & raid his parents liquor cabinet. Never got caught which amazed me seeing how often I wasnt at school.
