So i wanna connect to the internet at school
I have a macbook intel processer.
So i am looking to connect to the wireless internet throughout my school. The computers are all windows (unfortunately)

So I can connect to the wireless but i cannot get connection for the internet.

When logging into windows explorer at school, i need to enter my username and password.

Your school will need to enable you access before you go any further. And if you actually connecting to the Network then you need to configure your network config.

I will go a bit further. If you are connecting to the network then check your IP settings in System Preferences > Network and make sure you are getting your IP via DHCP. This is the standard setup.

But why dont you just ask your school for the settings so that you dont waste time trying to do it yourself. If your allowd access to their network then im sure they will set it up for you.

The school might also have a proxy server. Best thing is to ask your IT department.

why would a school have an open network? they are bound to have wep or something similar setup. they would probably have mac address filtering as well. If not, then their IT staff should be fired.

Not a school but. Your domain controller must be preventing you from joining the network because you dont have sufficient privileges.

Rather than screwing around tell us the truth. If your trying to hack then ask a hacking forum. Otherwise just ask the IT department.

Sorry but it seems the info is a bit vague here.

hahaha i ain't trying to hack the school. it is the last thing i want to do
I just want to connect to the school internet so i can enjoy some quality youtube and tvlinks time with some friends
And i am allowed to use my Mac in class at all times, without the internet i think i am missing out

Anyway seriously there are many reasons why your mac wont connect. Best to just wait until tomorrow.
