Yeah this thread would have been "useful" a few days ago, an hour after the update was released. Because back then, you could have at least claimed you were an uninformed person who was just making useless threads to spread panic, so that you can validate sitting on your high horse. But now, you just look silly. Look down the posts list and you'll discover a pretty big discussion called "Warning Mod-chip users - Don't update to 3.0 yet".
Also, I'm not sure what Wii you've got, but I use 3.0E and if I was as uninformed as you were, I probably would have said something like "I'm 3.0E, not 3.0U so I'm immune!". If you knew Nintendo like the back of your hand, you'd at least know the firmware update label for Australian Wii's.
So Please Rocky69, when the next firmware update comes around, be on the ball. So you can actually make panic rather than look like a fool.
