Wii Software \ Wiimote charger question

Ok this question may sound stupid and i know desi will want to criticize me. Im sure you all know by now that i hav the jap wii and i just got the wii power station (wiimote charger) and now im scared because i think there might be some volt problem using this with my japanese remote!! still havent opened it because if i neeed to return it i will be able to. I got the wii points card and that went to waste and i dont want the same to happen with this

The chargers I've seen just include battery packs which is what they charge. So if you have one like that, and if you've been using locally bought batteries so far for your wiimote, it shouldn't matter?

Doesn't a Wiimote charger just stick into one of the Wii's USB ports? The power a USB port can receive (and therefore deliver) before toasting is standardised worldwide — 5V DC with a 5% tolerance, and a maximum current of 500mA. You should have no problem charging your whatsit.

I just use rechargable batteries I got from Europe with 3500 mAh. Takes about 1 hour to full charge. Lasts for about 20 hours.
