The powerwave ones come with 750mAh batteries (X2 per unit = 1500mAh, the rechagable units/stands you can get from target and Big W, are 1400mAh and claim to work up to 40 hours. I find the power wave one lasts me about 6-8 hours of constant play time (may be better if I charged the batteries for a full 12 hours the first charge) But you can swap those batteries for 1000mAh ones (available instores) so you get 2000mAh per unit. The power wave also has a compartment to charge loose AA and AAA bateries, so I am considering getting a good pair of AA (2000-2400mAh) as well (4000+mAh per unit). Should be just as good as new desposable batteries (play time).
Somewhere I read about a docking station that plugs into the power socket on the wii (the powercable then piggybacks it), meaning that the batteries charge even when the wii is turned off (unlike the usb ones). I dont know what sort of effect turning the charge process off and on (usb hookup), would have on the rechargable batteries memory. Does anyone know where these ones are sold?
Powerwave ones for $25.....thats hard to beat.
