Okay, it seems to be going at a slow rate, but that must be purly because my internet is capped.
And I dont think there is a new update, I just got my wii today.

well it sort of makes sense that an update now would be bigger than an update from release date as it might have to update all the little updates we've had to do along the way so im guessing it should take a while to do your first update but your speed will also effect it as well

Wow, it may be a while to update. I made the big mistake on release night of updating. It took what felt like an eternity when I was absolutely dying to play the Wii. Maybe around 10 minutes
