I don't like it either, but we'll soon see that, as time goes by, there'll be less and less games with no in-game advertising.
Not only that, in newer games, the advertisements - whether it be on billboards or passing trucks, can be remotely accessed by the company. In other words, they can change the ad itself at their will, and they also use regional advertising, depending on where you live.
I still remember Resident Evil became the butt of many jokes when they used in-game adverstising back in the day... look at the industry now.
