Electronic Arts signed a deal with 20th Century Fox to develop multiple next-gen games based on The Simpsons back in late 2005. Rumour has it that it will probably be based on the Movie which will be released in July(?). Apparantly it will be a multi-platform game which will include the Wii and the DS. EB's American site has it availible for pre-order on the 30th of October 2007, classified under action.
I am really hoping this will be an action/adventure/RPG style game. The Simpsons is such a great show, I hope they can give it the respect it deserves by developing a decent game.
NB. EA were the one's behind The Simpson's Skateboarding. I hope this isn't an indication of what they have in store for the next-gen Simpsons games.
