Or, buy an Australian Wii and chip it. We've got Nintendo products up the wazoo here in Aussie Land. And even that will still cost you US$360-400.

Just wait. Just wait. I'm sure you have other things to do besides waiting for a Wii.

Exactly. This guy just thinks the internet is hiding cheap Wiis from him or something. We offered you help before, but you're obviously not taking it: place a pre-order and simply wait. Until Wii sales plateau (and it may never happen — just look at the DS' sales), pre-ordering is the only way to get a Wii that isn't marked up.

You can't pre-order things in the States? Lies. Check your facts.

If bricks-and-mortar shops won't let you do it (and they do), then you can place a pre-order at the store's website. GameStop's website lets you buy lots of pre-release items, for example.
