Well in hobart EB they had around 40 preorders i think, maybe a few more. So it doesnt seem to be doing to bad down here.
I can bet that sony arent losing money on every console, you guys keep on believing that crap if you must. Its not worthwhile for anyone to bring out a product that will lose out hundreds of dollars with every unit sold. I think its just a tactic for people to feel sorry for them, or to make people think that it could have been more expensive if they werent losing out, so its not a bad price.
It will come down the way hardware gets developed. Not by a substantial margain such as $400 by the year end.
It will start with a bundle for $999 with a free game, then it will drop $100 rrp. Doubtful though by the end of the year as they dont have anything to drop for, the competition has already been released.
Also on the pricing of BD players, look at what DVD players were at the time of the PS2 launch.....the reason that was cheap was because the dvd player was cheap crap.
Has anyone compared the drive in the ps3 compared to say a stand alond player?
