Wii Software \ Wii need more online games!

I was little upset when I read on ww.joystiq.com/ that "Nintendo is still not letting Wii third-party publishers include online capabilities in their games and it doesn't look like they will during 2007."

Nintendo is only allowing first-party games (games made by them) to feature online capabilities. So basically there will only be eight online-game titles for 2007, and they are as follows:

- Animal Crossing
- The Bigs
- Battalion Wars 2
- Forever Blue
- Mario Strikers Charged
- Pachinko: Sammy's Collection
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- Pokémon Battle Revolution

As you can see from the list, most, if not all of these games are 'childish' and 'PG-rated.' Now I know that there's a few kids who own Wiis but the majority of Wii owners are indeed people in their late teens and adults, mostly adults. I'm highly disappointed as there's not even one FPS title with online capabilities.

Childish, yes...but whose to say they're not fun anyway? Battalion Wars and Smash Bros are guaranteed to be really fun and even moreso online.

And as for the "majority" of Wii owners being adults...I'd seriously re-consider that. Most parents bought the Wii console for their kids because of it's affordable price in the weeks leading to and including Christmas and most members on this forum are actually 12 years or under.

Though, an online FPS for the Wii would be fantastic...but judging from the quality of current FPS titles on the Wii...I'm not getting my hopes up very high.

And as for the MMO's....forget about it haha

Hence their main demographic are adults.
Plus if you watch wii ads or promo reels most, if not all the players are adults.

Don't get me wrong some of the titles here are good but I would like to see more online games for adults.
