I'm already hearing stuff about a PS4 releasing 2010 so I wouldn't be too sure about that but, so far Ps3 is the least favorite seventh generation system

$1000 is a lot of money to part with, and then $100 odd for a game.

I guess they'll grab the share of the market they're aiming for.

Me, I won't be able to buy one until they are 1/3 of the size and 1/5 the price.

MS will still be around because of their huge amount of resources. Sony will continue but they won't make a system as 'advanced' as the PS3 - they lose too much money and Sony are already not as profitable as they have been in the past.

I have talked to a few PS2 fans and from what i heard, they won't be buying it until it is as cheap as the Wii.

I also heard that Sony is scheduled to lose 3 billion dollars before March on PSP and PS3, or was it just PSP?

I think Nintendo and XBOX both will take the prize of the next gen console and PS will sink to hell.

PS3 sales will no doubt pick up as time goes on and they reduce their price, microsoft will continue because they are financially backed by the richest man in the world, plus they kick arse with their online gaming and are releasing great titles, Nintendo will stay because quite simply they make awesome games, franchises such as SSB, Mario, Mario party, Zelda etc will ensure there are plenty of game heads still showing interest.

Sega was just plagued by bad marketing, though they still remain a strong force in software development (Though not as strong as they used to be). I think there is room for all three companies, but good luck to any others trying to corner the market
