Ok, well I love my Wii and have it running in my lounge but have 1 little problem... Sensor.

Now for games like Tony Hawk its fine... same for Pinball but when it comes to Far Cry or Rayman, even Wii Sports & Wii Play i have to "relocate" my sensor bar.

Basicly my setup is as follows...

------------- <-- Screen
[ _ ] <-- Table with Sensor Bar

{ } <-- Coffee Table

[______] [__] <--- 3 seater & single seater lounge

Now doesnt look like a problem yeh? Problem is my lounge is 4.5 meters from my screen/table.. (screen = 142" wall mounted projector setup). Now what the hell do i do to get round this problem of Wii Sensor bar 3 meter (more like 1.5m) range?!??!

That and also there is NO POINT and i mean NO POINT in tryin to aim at anythin direct on the screen you gotta learn to aim around the sensor bar. I've tried settin the sensor bar above screen & below but the range of movement to aim at something on the screen and have the wiimote target that same spot in the game if that makes sense.

I was thinkin of mounting the sensor bar behind the screen but well yeh that doesnt work because it cant see be seen (infrared) THROUGH the screen material.

Suggestions?

Try to remember that you are not supposed to be aiming the thing at the TV at all. Techincally you are aiming it at the Sensor bar. Also it will fudge up if you have a glass-top coffee table cause the infra red will bounce off that causeing 2 infrared signals to hit the wiimote.

Also you might want to move the table with the sensor bar to the middle of the screen. It'd be impossible to play any of the games that facilitate direction into the aiming function of the controls.

Sorry that table with sensor bar is in the middle of the screen, just for some reason the post lost my spaces... I realise that your not ment to be aiming at the TV, but i found when i had the Wii on my 80CM tv, that i could actually AIM at the screen so to speak, where as with the 142" screen i have to work solely off the sensor bar and imagine where im ment to aim. This is the problem im tryin to get around.

Yes that is the problem with your setup.

Your screen is too big, and you are too close to it.

The sensor bar is supposed to be place above or below the screen, so that when you play, you can aim directly at the screen and the sensor will still pick up the correct location of your cursor. this is of course important for gameplay.

Try placing the sensor bar on the floor 3m away from you, and tilt it upwards at an angle towards you (use something to prop it up).

Tried that method, but no go... Nintendo needs to address this issue or release a "SUPER SENSOR BAR" or the likes lol cause its friggin annoyin.

We cant be the only ones who Wii on a screen as big as ours.
