Social \ Laptop Help please

Thats the laptop im thinking of getting...i want it for a general usage like internet, small time gaming (the game ill play is Supreme destiny and Warcraft III) and reasonable cpu power....will thiss laptop meet my needs?
i might even put Counterstrike on it (cs not css) so please tell me if this will cope and bee a good laptop

Yep I totally agree. The only time you should get a laptop is if you need the portability. You will get a faster desktop for your money, and it is easier to upgrade individual components later on.

If you get a toshiba you can pick a new one up for $800. Wireless built in, 1.6 celeron (i know, i know). It also has a graphics card in it, i think ATI. Comes with 512ram. ive used one for a while now and its very good. Its not a speed demon but its good. Good enough for vista to.

Dell are good value, stay well away from HP though.

This laptops got a Radeon 9000 with 64mb Shared. That means, Itll use your RAM for render processing. So throw another stick of RAM at it, and itll go like a rocket, imho.

Its already got WinXP installed, so you're set for quality gaming. Vista will slow down your games. Its confirmed, proven and disliked.

I want a apple laptop next for just basic surfing the web, doing tafe work ect ect they arn't really for games, well besides my XPS M1710 it's pretty kick arse but still not as good as a PC!
