I don't think we can worry to much until the next gen war is well and truly started. The PS2 is still doing well and will continue to do so until the ps3 is well into swing and releases begin to dry up.
I personally am waiting to see how the major three consoles are doing next year. By then they should all have a substantial library and more consumer interest.
The Wii is off to a good head start, sales have gone through the roof. Logically you would think this would promote developer interest, but we will wait and see. But with releases like SSBB, Mario Galaxy, Metroid 3 and others backing up the Wii library in 2008, it's going to be a force to be reckoned with.
We just need to give the next gen war some time. Game library's are always a bit sparse in the first year.
