I was trying to connect to the Wii Shop Channel at my friends place and he has cable internet but it was taking forever to connect.
Does other peoples take a long time, or is it fast?

I think it depends on the network traffic, what time you connect etc.

mine has a lot of trouble connecting. sometimes connects for 6 hours and nothing. Usually if I delete the network connection and reconnect it works a little quicker (like within a few minutes)

I'm having trouble downloading from the Wireless connection, some games come through sweet, others keep giving me an error message...

BTW did you know that when you see Fire Mario running across the screen whilst downloading you can press A and he will shoot fireballs.

Very useless, but fun none the less.
