Wii Hardware \ PS3 runs wiimote as a mouse

In a recent public demonstration of the PS3 running Linux, a PS3 spokesperson was showing off the Linux capabilities of the PS3, and used a Wiimote as a mouse. Nintendo's wireless remote/controller was plugged into one of the PS3s spare USB ports, and functioned identically as it would on the Wii itself.

yeh but all a see the PS3 as is a massive multimedia unit. games are boring. and also nintendo wont care if sony are using there wii remote. sony will care cause there using stuff that nintendo gets money for.

I know PC's can do it, and Nintendo can't do much, but a console going ahead using their system accessories as a direct sales point, or a direct marketing sceme, or etc etc...Nintendo will rip their assholes out.

Also, you wont be getting any PS3 to work with the wiimote.
I think this further proves the PS3 its really just a good looking PC tower.
