Nope, Rare is now owned by Microsoft. Banjo Kazooie 3 is being worked on for the 360. When Rare were sold, they kept all thier IP's like Conker/Banjo etc etc. Donkey Kong was never Rares to begin with, so future Donkey Kong games will be release on Wii.

Reggie has said he will do whatever it takes to secure Goldeneye for the VC. The other titles tho we will have to miss out on because they are purely Rare ip's and weren't a license like the Bond license, unless Microsoft allows Nintendo to add them to the service, which would earn Microsoft royalties. This would probably beef up the price of such titles though.

It's funny you should say that. The original xbox only JUST outsold the gamecube worldwide, and the GC was a less powerful system with half the third party support, a gey purple colour (originally) and no online multiplayer. It really must speak wonders to Nintendo and thier 2nd party developers who could make such quality titles to push hardware sales neck and neck with microsoft right to the end.

And yes, before you name me as some stupid fanboy who knows nothing, i have a 360 and a Wii (Wii60 combo FTW) and i have 4 games for each. PGR3 is the only really bad one of the bunch, but Gears of War, DOA4 and Saint's Row are all fantastic games. If any of you out there want a second console and can't decide between the 'gaystation 3' and the 'suxbox 360' i can highly recommend the 360.

The mainstream is beginning to see the Wii as the future because of the controller, and they're dismissing the real consoles (Gaystation and Suxbox) as "oldschool" even though technically, they're years ahead. If you didn't get all that, Wii will popularize gaming and leave the real gamers in the dust. It makes me sick in the stomach. I know you all love it, but the Wii will be the death of serious gaming. Bye-bye FPS's, bye-bye RPG's, bye-bye RTS, bye-bye everything that doesn't have fluffy animals and Japanese anime characters.

BUT, interestingly, rare is still developing for nintendo. "Diddy Kong Racing DS" is coming out next year, and is developed by rare, published by nintendo. i thought microsoft would have put a stop to that!

Some of Rare went to Nintendo, believe it or not.
And the others, the main directs and producers of Rare went to "Free Radical" who actually made Timesplitters series.

And you can tell, notice how Timesplitters feels exactly like Goldeneye = )

The same reason we have DK on Cube and DK in Smash, etc etc.
It's Nintendo's little bundle of joy, not Rares, they just made the game.
