Social \ Brisbane to hold Olympics in 2024?

It seems that our premier in Brisbane wants to bid for the Olympic games to be held here in 2024.

Also the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) vice president Peter Montgomery said that if Australia were to hold the 2024 Olympics Brisbane would be most likely to hold it.

I would so go if we hold it in Australia.

You have to consider many things before hosting sucha mega event. Brisbane would be great because of the space around the gold coast area, theme parks, and its such a great tourist destination. But Melbourne is also the sporting events capital of the world we are a bigger city than brisbane. i'd bet on Melbourne before Brisbane to get it.

Don't people remember that Melbourne already held the Olympics in 1956? Now looking back at history, the only city to host it twice was Athens, which was pretty much also the home of the Olympics. I highly doubt Melbourne will get the games within the next few decades, if ever.
