Remember back when Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was announced and i said "If only they'd make a Guitar Hero: Metallica, it would be like the best selling game ever". Well my psychic intuition was right and it looks like it's happening:

"Edward Woo uncovered some interesting news after sifting through an Activision SEC filing this week. According to the filing (via Gamespot), the company plans to launch Guitar Hero: Metallica in Fiscal 2009, which, for Activision, is anytime between now and March 31, 2009.

No other details are known about the game other than its existence. Will it be guitar-only or multi-instrumental a la the upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour? Regardless, we're guessing that long-awaited new single won't debut on Rock Band anymore."

GH Metallica would be amazing. Now GH Green Day on the other hand....just silly. Metallica has these awesome riffs that stick with you forever. I can see myself now trying to get through Master of Puppets without my fingers falling off. *sigh* If only it were sooner.

Metallica has more than a few songs on Rockband on the disc & as DLC , aswell as being in bed with Guitar Hero so I cant see why a GH - Metallica game would stop them from still supporting Rockband. As much as I am a fan of Metallica, they have turned into whores.

LOL @ COWBELL HERO!

Seriously, they should make an "Expert Edition" GH game and make it called Guitar Hero: Joe Satriani. If you havent heard the Surfing with the Alien album by Joe Satriani (widely considered one of the top 3 guitarists EVER) then you really have to listen to it any way you can. It would be perfect for an expert-edition GH game.

Seeing Metallica were my favourite band from 1992 to 1998 I am very much looking forward to this. I pretty much lost interest after Load but I still (held hope) bought Reload and S&M. I was also disappointed in St Anger. In saying this I think I would enjoy playing them more then listening to so it should be a lot of fun.

Just think about it. It may be your favourite band, or whatever, but do you really think it's worth dedicating an entire guitar game on their songs? They hardly have memorable guitar riffs and solos, like Metallica. They might as well release 'Guitar Hero: Fallout Boy', or 'Guitar Hero: Panic at the Disco'. They just don't cut it in the guitar world.
Plus they are are rubbish bands.
