Well i gonna go get my P's soon and it says i need to have my license for 1 year on the website?
Given i need to do 120 hours, do i really need to wait 12 months until i can get my license? or is there an exception somewhere?

I got my license, the year before P plates existed in my State.

I think the Motorbike way of doing things is much better. Go for an info and training session, get out there on the bike, go for another training session and the test and you're done! (well, that's NSW, anyway, last time I looked...)

i got my Ls after the new rules came in, but because i was 16 and 6 months already (i was 18 at the time) i only have to hold it for 6 months with a minimum of 60 hrs driving, but there are advantages such as 1hr with a driving instructor multiplied by 3. so it narrows down, but for a price
