Wii Software \ Dragon ball Z 3 lagged?

Hi all,

I have recently been trying to play DBZ3 online but have a hard time getting challengers and most of the time when I get one, it's laggy. Is it because of the US wii that I have? Can US NTSC and AUS PAL wii version of the game play against each other? I also tried adding the friend codes of the users in the forum but all of them gave me an error.

Anyone have any suggestion?
