Usually if you get one of those new games on Dual Layer discs, then it'll most likely have a later version of the update.

Greenbob, the reason you could do that update was because it would have been a PAL game. Updating from disc is fine with PAL, it's when you are updating the Wii with an NTSC disc/update that lies the problem.

Isn't SSBB the only dual layer game anyway?

Whooops. I just assumed he was talking about the PAL version of SSBB when it finally comes out.

I guess nobody makes a post for something that wont happen for another 20 or 30 years.

the 1.9s firmware only fixes the issue when you can't play an original SSBB disc. you may need to enable region override. if you are using a backup, then try to patch it with regionfrii.
