Counter-Strike when it was still a Beta. Was so new to it I was playing on American servers with a 56k modem... I was amazed when I found Australian servers and I actually started winning lol...

I wish I could get back the feeling of first playing that game.. back when it was good. Its been going downhill for years and years. 1.3 was probably the peak

My first online game would've been Counter Strike, it was the only game I could find that ran properly over dial up
