Just thought I'd pitch into this thread. I got a couple of cheap Chinese Perfect Shot knock offs from eBay today which go under the delightful rebranding of "Wii-ght gun". Cute. Anyway having had a go on Umbrella Chronicles and Ghost Squad with them I'm surprising even myself by giving them the thumbs up.
They lack the top bracket of the real Perfect Shot, so vigorous Wiimote shaking is out of the question, as it will just go flying out of the casing. The nunchuck connector socket is occasionally iffy but works 90% of the time.
And dammit if the things don't actually improve gameplay by quite a bit. Pulling off critical hits in Umbrella Chronicles is much easier from a distance. For $6.00 a pop I'd give it the edge over the Zapper.
