yeah, I used to work at woolworths and I saw people around 14 years old working, which suprised me but is good for you...

try a bit of everything, remember your only 14 so you have your whole working life ahead of you. Between 14-18 I had about 30 different jobs. I'd just moved on when I wasn't enjoying it.
If you are after money try being a labour the pays great and usually off the books, but it's hard work.
Try finding a job that involves your hobbies or something that interests you, you'll learn more and it won't seem like work.

coles, woolworths, dicksmith, all have online applications where they get back to you, i sent in an application about a year and a half ago and recieved an email back about a year ago offering me a job at coles, took it, but had to leave after a month, then just recently got another job offer at another coles, i'm starting on friday.
i also worked at...mcdonalds, for about 3 months last year. was quite horrid. i was good at it though. my advice is don't go into fast food, especially not busy stores, it can be pretty stressful and you earn so little for slavin away.

Maccas has tought me how to work in a team i am currently on 9.30 an hour and am moving up about 50 cents i think.
I made a bunch of mates and like all my managers and free food is great.
And i get crap hours now.
My fault really i kept not going in so i could go out drinking and partying leanred my lesson but when i was going to my rostered shifts i was making about $150 a week.
And getting alot of food(steal it when on shift eat it on shift i love work so many nuggets and salsa sauce for free take cheesburgers chicken pattys the whole shop lol.
So joe your so wrong mate more then learing to make a burger.
What do you learn how to bake
Wait you know how to bake a pie........YOUR HIRED

After your off being a trainee, most places pay $11 ish an hour or more.

I worked at the movies for four years, starting when I was in year 11. It's a fantastic place to work, more so if you love your movies. I went from downstairs to projection and did some management work, but my main focus was on the projectionist side.
