There are worse threads on this site than this. Like 90% of those forum game threads. At least desi here is trying to find info on something, even if it's something as odd as a hat.

Okey dokey. Have cut my hat's brim down 1.5cm all around (that is, the hat is 3cm narrower than before). I've decided to keep the brim entirely straight, but I'll replace the hatband tomorrow after work, if I find a place that sells broad ribbon. I might even replace the hatband with a narrow leather belt.

Edit: I'm gonna rummage through all my crap, see if I've got something I can make into a hatband now.
