True, so true. I spent $80 to get a special cable for my Alpine headunit in my car, but totally worth it, because I can plug in any devices with a 3.5mm headphone output (I'm using my PSP at the moment, but an iPod should be good). Now that one I couldn't escape, because it was a dedicated port made by Alpine only.

You know, FM transmitters plug into 3.5mm jacks. It's nice to have a dedicated jack for things (I'd probably go that way when I get a new car), but more than $50 to play MP3s in my car is simply not on.

My girlfriend bought one from "The Warehouse" for $14.95. I thought it was good value.

I almost screwed my PSP up with one of those, just the cigarette lighter charger. The end of it that went into the PSP had snapped off inside the power input. I couldn't figure out why my proper charger was not getting into the PSP. Eventually i realised and fished it out.

It's hard to decide. Third party accessories are always so dodgy compared to the real deal
