I played a WiiSports for the first on Sunday and must say it is the most fun I've had on a console. And seeing as I'm almost over games now, I cannot find a reason to pay $1000 for the PS3.

If I was to get one, I would probably get the Zelda Bundle from Toys R Us ($529 for Wii, Zelda, Extra Controller, Nunchuck), as I didn't mind Zelda on N64. However, being a Playstation user since the 90's, I'm not sure there will be the kind of depth in titles to warrant the purchase as most Nintendo titles seem a bit "childish".

Basically, sports and racing games are all I'm into (it's all I own apart from the GTA titles). So what I really want to know, is will my tastes be covered for on the Wii? Like what the chances of EA Sports releasing all their games on Wii (NHL, Rugby, Cricket etc.) and getting racing games that match the quality of Gran Turismo (not dodgy games like GT Pro Series).

Well I don't know much about sports games on the Wii, but I can tell you that Madden 07 scored a higher review on Wii than it did on other mainline consoles, there have been articles on the net recently showing developers getting on board for the Wii after recognizing good sales numbers, so hopefully we will see some great new titles. A worthwhile purchase in my mind, i love it.
I have Zelda and Red Steel, would recommend Zelda over Red Steel but they are great games.

I haven't played my wii since I got my 360 and PS3 and it seems that the games on the horizon won't interest you (Super Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy. You'll probably like metroid.

I have NFS: Carbon on Wii and it's good but compared to a controller it's not awesome. The tilt control is great, but it gets old too fast when you can't pull off the moves you want.

Sports games are getting a pretty good reception on wii, I think. I say wait a while until there are more 'non-kiddy' games out

You peeps are so much better than fanboys/fangirls of other consoles, who can't seem to give an unbias opinion.

Yeah since I have won Zelda I havent really played anything else! I still play wii sports but that gets annoying after a couple of hours once you are a pro and stuff. I have told my friends who want a Wii to wait till Christmas to see how things pan out. At that time hopefully some good games are out eg. Mario, Metroid and Pokemon and then you will be able to get them straight away without waiting months in between releases.
