Not sure if its been mentioned before but these cases look pretty good since we had no colour options with the wii. It was white or white, don't get me wrong white looks good but it does clash with the rest of my entertainment system and i don't think many people have white tv's.

yes it will stuff your warranty because you are replacing the case and therefore you need to open it.

The covers look like they are of decent quality, but if you convert it to AUD and think of shipping, it's certainly not worth it ($100+) and like i said, your warranty is up $hit creek.

I'm not thinking pimped-car wheel rims chrome, more along the lines of Zelda 1 and 2 for NES cartridge golden chrome.
