i just moved my router to my bedroom around 1m from the wii so when i get my TV back i'll let you know. and to answer your question about how to increase range of your wireless, get a piece of carboard, cover with aluminium foil and bend it into a concave shape and place over the antenna. seriously works well (because my router was at the end of the house, so we aimed the curve to the other end of the house, so i guess reception behind the cardboard would be greatly reduced

I then got a Nintendo WiFi USB adapter and stuck it on my PC (in the same room as my Wii) and now the speed is great.

Its not a big deal now but it will be later when we start getting Wii online multiplayer games.
