Nintendo has actually increased its product sales dramatically but due to the fact the Yen has severely fallen they did not meet the profit forecast and as a result they have downgraded their future forecast.
So don't worry Wii's are still selling like hot cakes(in fact quicker) it is just due to the economic crisis that Nintendo's profit has fallen.
Not exactly an issue at all it was to be expected.
Also expect to eventually see a Wii sales drop in the future in Japan due to the fact the country has been saturated already with Wii's. (Pretty much everyone there owns one) so don't go and have a cry when that happens. That is also to be expected.
With all this news we could see a new revision much like the DS had with the Lite and DSi to the Wii to encourage previous owners to invest in another WIi. I am only speculating.
All the other markets (U.S, UK, AUS etc.) still have plenty of room for growth and sales will continue to soar there/here.
