I just sent this to Nintendo, lets see how we go.
Online Connection Assistance
I bought a Nintendo Wii approximately 6 months ago and found it rather easy to connect to the internet.
That being said, just last night I tried to play Mario Kart Wii online and had trouble connecting. I went into the Wii internet settings and tested the connection. Upon doing so, it came back with an error code.(52030)
Now for the majority of the day, I've been trying to rectify this problem. I've gone through your troubleshooting guide and many others that I've found on the internet but with no success. I'm currently using a D-Link router (DI-524) and haven't changed any settings on it as of late.
Today, I've reset the router, made a new network, wrote down my wep key (I've tried both 64 and 128bit encryption), used channels both 1 and 11 and i'm still at square one. Mac filtering is disabled so this isn't a problem either.
Technically, none of my router settings should be a problem as this was working fine for the last few months up until last night. I also use a laptop which runs of mentioned network and that doesn't have any problems. I'm beginning to think it may be a hardware fault.
That being said, my Wii still finds the connection "Dlink" ( name of my wireless network) but upon entering the settings, it just doesn't seem to work.END - there's more, it's just a bit technical and won't fit.
