Super Smash Bros \ SSBB works on D2C but not Wiikey

OK, so I think it was Saturday I bought Brawl. So excited. I get it home and it doesn't work. I search the net and find out the official copy of SSBB doesn't work on a modded wii. Bad luck for me as my Wii is modded with a Wiikey. But then I found out that backups of SSBB do work. So I ripped my official copy of Brawl and burnt it. It still didn't work. A guy I know has a modded Wii too but his is modded with a D2C. So I took both the official copy and my burnt copy of Brawl to his place to try it on his Wii. The official copy did not work but the burnt copy did. Seems strange that it worked on a D2C and not a Wiikey when in my experience the D2C modchip has more problems playing more games that the Wiikey. I've never had a game not work (official copies and burnt copies). But it's not like I was expecting problems since Brawl is dual-layer. Has anyone got Brawl working on a Wiikey and if so, how?

p.s. None of this is illegal. It's not illegal to mod your Wii and I bought an official copy so I'm legally allowed to make one backup.

Don't worry (not that anyone did), I finally figured it out. For anyone else who was a WiiKey and can't get SSBB to work, download the WiiKey config disc from wiikey.cn and change the read speed from 6x to 3x and turn the last two option from OFF to ON. Save the settings, reset the console, then put in you SSBB disc and it should work perfectly.
