I bought 2 enclosures and was just $11.00. Only cause I bought my HDD elsewhere. Should have got em from there, but hey...

So. $146.00 for baulky, fast and massive space?
Or $90.00 for slim, slow, not much space...?

Eeyup! It supports USB also but I think it still needs the power. Not USB powered like the 2.5" MrModern originally posted.

Yeah, eSATA is External SATA.

ok then - i have a 400gb USB external 3.5" drive for all my video backups. This is fast and reliable. the only thing is that i don't like taking it with me. It has a bulky power supply which means another power point where ever you go.

i also have an 80gb pocket drive. this holds anything i am taking to uni and friends houses. i also use it to transfer files around the home network as i am on dedicated wireless at the moment and USB 2.0 has faster tranfer rates.

so summing it up - yes the 3.5" drives are cheap and a godsend, but for portability i always recommend a 2.5" drive.

you can never have enough storage IMO

Yep. Totally agree with you.

I was just giving a second opinion.

I use mine to download my, oops. I mean, backup my torrents and leave it to transfer over night and stuff so thats why I prefer it.

I also have a 4G USB stick that I use for smaller things.
