Just yesterday (19/1) rumours began to creep onto Australian sites that suggested that MadWorld may be in fact a multiplatform release. To confirm this, TVG checked in with SEGA UK to see whether there was any truth behind these reports, where a Spokesperson for the publisher had previously confirmed for them that MadWorld would be "Only on Wii."

The rumour originated from a rating of the game by the Australian Classification Board, which gave MadWorld a MA 15+ rating, while also putting the game was in the "Multi-Platform" genre.

When TVG contacted SEGA UK for confirmation of the rumours, a Spokesperson was quick to debunk the rumour, simply stating that the game will be a goretastic Battle Royale themed romp, "Only for Wii."
