The nutiest racing game is back. Mario Kart Wii is almost here. Today I got a new issue of Nintendo Power with a 10 page story loaded with a truckload of info.
To start it off there are12 characters available from the begining and 6 hidden characters and mii's. The starting cast is Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, Bowser, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Toad, Baby Mario and Baby Peach. As for unlockables I would giuess Baby Luigi, Daisy, Boo, Dry Bones, Diddy Kong, and R.O.B the robot same the most likely.
Like Brawl you have mulitiple controller options to choose from. You can use the Wii remote on it side (with or without the Wii Wheel), the Wii remote and Nunchuck, The Gamecube controller, or the classic controller. The controles for the Wii Wheel are below.

Most of the items return with three new items. they are the Mega Mushroom (from New Super Mario Bros.) that lets you grow huge and run over your enemies, the POW block (from the arcade Mario Bros.) stuns enemies for a few seconds and the Lightning Cloud will speed you up for a while but will soon shrink you.
