News \ Suda 51: I want Mario to have guns

Suda51, the infamous and highly wacky CEO of Grasshopper Games and the man behind ultra--violent games Killer7 and No More Heroes, has stated that he wants Mario to go through the “Suda-treatment” and have him in a game for adults.

Speaking in the latest edition of ONM in the UK, Suda stated that he wanted to “…make a Super Mario game for adults”

"Maybe Mario could wear an Italian suit and have a machine gun," he said, "But Nintendo probably wouldn't like that idea."

Our guess is Nintendo would probably loath the idea. But considering Suda51’s creative originality and crazy ideas, Nintendo might be willing to give him another character to go crazy with. Kid Icarus, anyone?

Nintendo want to keep their family friendly image kicking and there's no way they would put their mascot in a game armed with guns. I'm pretty sure that Suda51 knows this, and that it was just a passing comment that has been stated in this way to make us all goo "OOO, wouldn't that be cool?" "No it wouldn't!".
That, my friends, is empty publicity.
