Around the Network #5
Welcome to the MyMedia Around the Network feature! Some of you may remember this as the MyMedia Community Update, and it is essentially the same thing with an emphasis on type of content rather than each site.
This will be published each Monday afternoon/evening to keep you up to date with everything that has happened across MyMedia in the past 7 days. We'll also update you on what is planned for the week ahead.
Site Updates
MyBluRay to be Updated!
Good news everyone, MyBluRay has finally been confirmed for an update! Right now I don't have a lot more to tell you, as everything is still very much TBC, but it is definitely going ahead!
We're working out the final details, such as what will actually be included, right now. However, there'll definitely be a massive focus on movies in general, including heaps more content from the good looking content staff.
The beginning of October has been penciled in for the update to go live. I'll have some more concrete news for you all in the next few weeks!

Wallace and Gromit: Bogey Man Review
A taste
It seems only a few weeks ago that we were first introduced to the offering of Wallace and Gromit to come out of the TellTale Games Studios. The series has had it's high and low points, yet has offered adventures that feel authentic to the Wallace and Gromit universe. Bogey Man is the final chapter to the series, and while ultimately it is a decent finale, the slow pacing of the adventure is detrimental to the experience.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra Review
A taste
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra – The Game shows glimpses of what could have been, but in the end it’s held back by too many unforgivable flaws. The controls are too clunky and frustrating to use, while the disruptive way in which the story is delivered is almost unforgivable. If you don’t have 3 friends who also own the game then there’s no real reason to pick it for yourself. At best give it a rent as you can easily finish it within a few hours, and once you’ve done so and drained every last drop of fun it has to offer there is absolutely no reason to go back and do it all again.

Giana Sisters DS Review
A taste
Giana Sisters DS is a big surprise. Some of us already knew how cool the original was, and it’s just a shame that not many people got to play it (damn you, Nintendo!). But now, with this fantastic remake on the DS, you have another great platformer to get into. This might look like Super Mario Bros., but it’s actually so much more. It’s great how the gimmicky additions are actually a lot of fun do use and that they’re not used in every single level. There’s also a great level of difficulty that gets harder the deeper you get into the title. The incentive is there for a replay, giving this game plenty of value and making it worthy of a purchase.

Medals
Modern Warfare 2 Medal - *Mission 3 Open!!*
Info
I think the past few medals have been a bit of cake walk so this one has had the difficulty level cranked up a little. This medal will require you to do multiple tasks over a period of 6 days. The decision to spread it out over six days is to make things fair for people that don't have the time to log in every single day.

Giana Sisters DS Competition @ MyDS
We have 10 copies of Giana Sisters DS to give away over at MyDS.
Giana Sisters DS is a surprisingly fun and challenging platformer and a remake of the cult classic on Commodore 64. Now so much more than simply a "Mario Bros. try-hard", Giana Sisters DS is easily one of the most surprising titles of 2009.
We loved it so much, we're giving away 10 copies, so don't miss out on your chance to enter and win 1 of 10 copies of this title on DS.

User Reviewer of the Month coming September!
Starting in September we'll have a reviewer of the month badge, similar to the reporter of the month. I want some input on how this should be done, as I want it to be similar - but a little different - to reporter of the month.
There'll definitely be a badge, but I'm considering something else instead of free PWNAGE for a month. Perhaps, instead, I'll post a blog with an extract of your review and give it a shout out on the MyMedia twitter page, which combined should get it some more views. I understand as a writer one of the most rewarding things is knowing people are reading your work, and I believe many of you may prefer a few more views to free PWNAGE for a month (especially since this is already offered).
Let me know what you think either as a comment here, or directly by sending me a message.
