MyWii Feature New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Forget the paint idea but the music composer would be awesome. Thats what wii music should have been.

Im sure they could do a package with paint, music and games.

Yes they could and they did in 1993 in the form of Mario Paint.
U can also tell that the majority of people calling it a 'gimmick' have never played it. To those people, Please dont start pretending your opinion is fact when you dont actually know what the game was like.

I played Mario Paint. It came with a mouse and had limitations such as one save file which annoyed me because there was a lot of competition in our house to use it.

However paint programs are a dime a dozen on the PC so it will be nothing more than a gimmick. The only thing it can offer is the mario artwork and stamps but even then it will be very limiting.

The music composer, as I said, would be worthy of a stand alone game and thats how wii music should have been done. And that part alone does justify a Mario Paint game with online picture and music sharing.

The whole point of painting in Mario Paint is because its a game and your meant to have fun! If you use one of the many painting programs it does not have the same entertainment value to it.

The music composer just on its own will not sell well at all when they could just download the program on PC. You could not justify only getting that and i have no idea why you would only want the music composer out of entire game.

The point of wanting this on wii is for 1. Nintendo to be recreating the experience containing all the features from the old version
2. For there to be much more then there was in old version such as online play, and file sharing.

So far this thread has very very varried opinions and respionses so just keep adding your opinion

I like the Mario Paint music composer because its simple.

Each icon makes its own noise and you paste it on the music bar. It makes it both easy and visual. For those who have no creative abilities they could play around with the (what would be) many premade tunes.

This contrasts to noteworthy composer which is a PC music construction program. Its quite difficult to use.

I guess people could plug in a USB mouse or tablet to make painting easy and they could link it with the miis and photo channel for further add ons.

I think the real value in a paint program will be use across other games - such as shirt designs in Animal Crossing, or sign posts in Mario Kart. Games can have custom sections that the paint part of the program can access.

I would have music, paint (incl colouring/stamps/photo edit), games, and possibly a basic 3D polygon maker where you can make accessories for miis or even a 3D drawn to life.

cool, now all i would add to that is the animation thing they had in the SNES one and the charm the game had

eg. the 10+ entertaining ways to delete the page.

once again ... very varied responses ... some peeps say the painting would be good, fun and creative. While others say it would be a gimmick, pointless, and that they prefer MS Paint.
